When your payment moves, and where it goes.

Right Angle Design is a small Atlanta shop, so we keep the money part plain. Here is exactly when a Buy now purchase or a commission deposit is charged, when it clears, and when it lands in the shop bank account that pays for wood, brass and bench time.

Timeline
01

At checkout

Your card is authorized and charged immediately when you complete a Buy now purchase or a commission deposit. You receive an emailed receipt from Stripe the same minute.

02

Within 24 hours

The order lands in our shop queue and in your Account page. Carl reviews stock, wood selection and lead time, and Virgil confirms the build slot with you by email.

03

2 business days

Funds settle out of Stripe's processing window and enter the payout schedule for our Atlanta shop bank account. Nothing about this changes your order or your pricing.

04

7–14 days (first order only)

Stripe holds the very first payout for a new shop account slightly longer while verification completes. After that, payouts arrive on a rolling 2-business-day schedule.

The details

Who processes the payment

Every card is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Right Angle Design only receives the last four digits and the billing name on the receipt.

Commission deposits

A commission deposit is a real charge, not a hold. It reserves your bench slot and covers material purchase. The balance is invoiced before the piece ships.

Buy now pieces

Small-batch pieces are charged in full at checkout, including per-item shipping and any tax calculated for your delivery address.

Refunds

Refunds are issued back to the original card through Stripe and typically appear on your statement in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Statement descriptor

Charges appear on your statement under our shop name. If something looks unfamiliar, email us before disputing — we can usually resolve it same day.

Weekends and holidays

Banking days only. A Friday evening order settles the following week, and bank holidays push settlement one business day later.

Questions about a charge?

Every order you place while signed in is listed with its total and status on your account page. If a number looks wrong, reach out before your bank does — we would rather fix it.
