Common questions about custom keepsake boxes
What is a custom keepsake box?
A custom keepsake box is a small hardwood chest built to hold the things a person keeps — letters, watches, jewelry, photographs. Ours are cut from solid exotic woods, lined in fabric or epoxy, and fitted with solid brass hardware.
Can I choose the wood and the lining?
Yes. Commissions start with wood selection — canary wood, walnut, ebony, zebrawood and others — and the Canary Wood Keepsake Box in the shop lets its first buyer choose between a fine fabric lining and a poured epoxy interior.
How long does a custom keepsake box take?
Most boxes and trays ship in three to five weeks. If you are buying for a date — a wedding, an anniversary, the holidays — tell us at the consultation and we will work backward from it.
Do you gift wrap and ship to the recipient?
Yes. Our signature gift wrap is a cream rigid box with a brass badge, dark grosgrain ribbon, a hand-stamped brass tag and your handwritten card. We ship nationwide and can send directly to the recipient.
Give a gift no one else can.
Start with a free consultation. We will scope the wood, the lining and the date, then reserve your slot on the bench.
